SEDIMENT REMOVAL SERVICE

A public-awareness page from AQUA FLAME

What’s hiding inside your water heater?

Every gallon of water that fills your tank carries dissolved minerals. Heat makes those minerals drop out and settle. Day after day, year after year, they pile up on the bottom of the tank as a chalky white crust — out of sight, doing slow damage the whole time.

You can’t see it from the outside. The tank looks fine. The water still comes out hot — until the day it doesn’t, or the heater gives out years before it should.

A flush drains the water. We remove the sediment.

Watch it happen

Three short films: buildup, the element, and clean

The first and third films are AQUA FLAME’s own. The middle one is an illustration, made to show what the crust does to a heating element — something no camera can film inside a closed tank.

1. Sediment builds up

Minerals settle, layer on layer, until a hard crust coats the bottom of the tank and rust takes hold of the liner.

2. Buried: the heating element

The crust climbs until it swallows the lower element. Trapped underneath, the element glows hot against the scale instead of heating your water.

3. What clean looks like

The crust torn apart and flushed out, until the tank is bare and spotless — and the AQUA FLAME mark it all ends on.

Inside the tank: clean to buried

Drag the slider to watch years of buildup climb the tank wall and swallow the heating element. This is an illustration of the process — not a photograph of one tank.

Building up

Scale is piling up. Heat has to push through it to reach the water, so the heater runs longer.

Illustration only. Real buildup is whitish, chalky mineral scale — the fluoride and sulfur deposits left behind as water is heated, year after year.

At home

How to tell — without opening anything

Signs worth paying attention to

  • Hot water runs out sooner than it used to.
  • Rumbling or popping sounds when the heater is running.
  • Energy bills climbing with no other explanation.
  • Flakes or grit showing up in hot water.
  • Nobody knows when the tank was last cleaned — or it never has been.

One sign on its own doesn’t prove anything. Several together usually mean sediment has had time to build.

What AQUA FLAME will do

  • A deep clean that breaks up hardened sediment and flushes it out of the tank.
  • Not just a drain-and-refill — the sediment itself is removed.
  • For homes in Maryville and Alcoa, Tennessee.
  • No repairs at launch — cleaning only.
  • No filtration or water-treatment systems at launch.

Plumbers drain and refill tanks. This service is the cleaning most tanks never get.

Don’t open the tank yourself. The water inside is scalding hot and the tank is under pressure. Leave the inside of a water heater to someone equipped for it — the checks above need nothing more than your eyes, your ears, and your bills.

The basics

Four things the buildup does

These are the points that matter most. If any of them sounds familiar, your tank has probably been collecting sediment for a while.

  1. Scale builds up, year after year

Mineral scale doesn’t wash away on its own. Every heating cycle adds a little more to the floor of the tank.

  2. It traps heat, so the heater works harder

The crust sits between the element and the water like insulation in the wrong place. Heat gets trapped underneath it instead of reaching the water.

  3. Hot water runs out faster

Sediment takes up room in the tank and steals heat, so there’s less hot water ready when you need it — and it cools sooner.

  4. Heating elements burn out early

An element buried in scale overheats itself trying to do its job. That’s how elements fail years before they should, and why tanks die young.

The other side of it

What a clean tank gives back

Cleaning isn’t about the tank looking nice inside. It’s about the bills, the breakdowns, and the hot water your household counts on.

A clean tank saves you money

When heat reaches the water instead of fighting through scale, the heater runs less to do the same job — and you pay for fewer breakdowns and an earlier replacement.

Cleaner hot water for your home

Fewer mineral flakes stirred up into the water, and a steadier temperature from a heater that isn’t struggling under a crust.

A longer life for the tank

Scale strangling a heater is one of the quiet reasons tanks fail early. A clean tank, with its elements free to heat, stands a far better chance of lasting.

Your water heater is dying — and you can’t even see it.

That’s the warning on AQUA FLAME’s power poster, and it’s literal: the damage happens inside a sealed steel tank. By the time the signs show up outside — lukewarm showers, climbing bills, a failed element — the buildup has had years to do its work. A neglected tank can also fail outright, and a tank failure means water where it doesn’t belong.

  1. What’s hiding inside your water heater?

You never think about your water heater. That's the problem. It's the hardest-working thing in your house and the only one you never look at. While you ignore it, rock is building up inside — quietly stealing your hot water, your money, and years off your tank's life. AQUA FLAME cleans it out from the inside, down to a spotless tank. Coming soon to Maryville & Alcoa. 🔥💧 Like, share, or drop a comment if you've never once thought about your water heater.

  2. A clean tank saves you money

You're paying to heat rock. That crust on the bottom of your tank is insulation in the worst possible place — your heater burns longer just to push heat through it, your bill climbs, and your elements die early. A clean tank heats fast and cheap again, and once a year keeps it that way. A flush drains the water. AQUA FLAME removes the sediment. Coming soon. Like, share, or comment if your power bill's been creeping up.

  3. Cleaner hot water for your home

What's floating in your bath water? If your hot water ever had little white flakes in it, that wasn't soap — that was your tank. Mineral grit breaking loose and coming out through your faucets, into the water you shower and cook with. AQUA FLAME gets the tank spotless so your hot water runs clean. Coming soon to Tennessee. Like, share, or drop a comment.

  4. Your water heater is dying — and you can’t even see it

Out of sight. Out of mind. Until it fails. Nobody's water heater breaks on a good day — it goes on a cold morning, or it leaks, or the shower runs cold halfway through. All of that starts with rock building up inside while nobody's watching. One cleaning a year and you never have to think about it again. AQUA FLAME — coming soon. 🔥💧 Like, share, or comment if you're ready.
